A scale and gavel
In August 2022, Andrea Crespin, now 32, was driving a Mazda sedan the wrong way on I-10 through Vail when she collided head-on with a Toyota sedan. Crespin’s blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit.
Her 2-year-old daughter who was in the front seat with no seat belt died in the crash. Crespin and two adults in the Toyota that she hit were seriously injured, but two children in that car were not.
A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, and the driver was not injured.
Crespin pled guilty to manslaughter, aggravated assault, and driving under the influence.
