Help support thought-provoking, award-winning television and radio programs, inspirational classical music, student internships, and educational outreach throughout Southern Arizona with a planned gift.

Giving through your will, trust, life insurance, or retirement accounts are excellent ways to sustain AZPM for the future, enabling you to make a more profound impact than might otherwise be possible.

Your gift will qualify you to become an AZPM Legacy Society member and could entitle you to tax benefits and estate advantages.

How do I get started?

  • Phone Director of Development Enrique Aldana at (520) 621-3808-or email Enrique for additional information on bequests or to discuss the different options for including AZPM in your will or estate plan.

  • Seek the advice of your financial or legal advisor.

  • Should you wish to include AZPM in your will, the following language may assist you and your attorney: "I, [name], of [city, state, ZIP], give, devise and bequeath ____ (a percentage of the residue of your estate, specific dollar amount, or a specific asset such as a bank account, stock, or real estate) to The University of Arizona Foundation for the benefit of Arizona Public Media. This bequest shall be unrestricted and shall be used by Arizona Public Media for such purpose(s) and at such times(s) as the Gen Manager of AZPM may determine in his or her sole discretion.”
  • Watch this video to learn more about leaving a planned gift. The seminar features Christina Noz, Estate Planning Attorney at Moeller & Conway, PLLC and Jim Krogmeier, Associate Vice President at the University of Arizona Foundation.

AZPM is an editorially independent, non-profit service of the University of Arizona, supported with your gifts through the University of Arizona Foundation.

Become a member of the Legacy Society

The AZPM Legacy Society honors generous individuals who have planned a future gift to recognize all that public media has meant in their lives. If you have already included us in your will or estate plans, please let us know so we can welcome you as a member of the Legacy Society.

Here's how you can join us:

Call us at (520) 621-3808 or complete the Legacy Society Planned Giving Notification Form.

  • Make a gift in your will or trust to AZPM.
  • Make a gift of retirement assets, bank and brokerage accounts, real estate, or life insurance to AZPM.
  • Establish a charitable trust or gift annuity that benefits AZPM.
  • There are no fees or dues.

Information about your gift is kept confidential, and you may remain anonymous if you prefer.

Ways to Give

  • Bequests - Many find this the easiest way to make a planned gift, by designating a specific dollar amount, percentage, or asset from your estate.
  • Beneficiary Designations - Naming AZPM as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or a retirement, investment or bank account is an effective and efficient way to support the future of public media in Southern Arizona.
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts or Gift Annuities - Establish a lifetime stream of tax-advantaged retirement income, after which AZPM receives the remainder.

We welcome the opportunity to help you explore options to ensure your gift has the most significant possible impact.

This information does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. It should not be a substitute for professional advice. AZPM encourages you to seek independent legal, estate planning, and financial advice before deciding on a course of action.
