Leave a Legacy

Be Part of the Legacy of Public Broadcasting

Whether it's bringing you the award-winning programs you and your family treasure, engaging and educating Southern Arizona through events and outreach, or teaching the journalists, producers, and media personalities of tomorrow through our partnership with the University of Arizona, all that we do is made possible through the support of our community and generous donors like you.

With your planned gift—large or small—you can be part of the future of AZPM.

Ways of Giving

There are a number of ways to give! We can work with you personally to help you explore your options so you can find the best way to ensure your gift has the biggest possible impact. Your gift can also entitle you to generous tax benefits, estate advantages, and may also qualify you to become a member of AZPM's privileged Legacy Circle.

Here are some of the ways you can give:

  • Bequests and Estate Giving - Many of our donors find this the easiest way to make a planned gift. You can bequest a specific dollar amount or asset, or bequest a residue of your estate.

  • Retirement Accounts - Through IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) retirement accounts, you can make a significant gift to AZPM that has no cost to you during your lifetime. These tax-advantaged gifts allow your entire gift ti help sustain the future of public broadcasting in Southern Arizona.

  • NPR's Scott Simon NPR's Scott Simon greets AZPM supporters at an exclusive event in Tucson for the premiere of the AZPM original documentary, "Passing On"
  • Gifts of Stock - Many donors recognize the benefits of donating appreciated securities — a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the gift and avoidance of capital gains tax.

  • Gift Annuities - Individuals or couples can establish a lifetime stream of tax-advantaged retirement income for themselves. Then later, the remaining principal passes to Arizona Public Media.

  • Charity Remainder Trusts - A charitable trust that pays you a stream of income for life on set terms of years, after which AZPM will receive the remainder.

What Can You Give?

The easiest and most common way to give to AZPM is through a gift of cash, usually made by check. This type of gift is tax deductible. However, gifts can take many forms. Here are a few options:

  • Cash
  • Real Estate
  • Appreciated Securities
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Life Insurance

What Does Your Support Do?

A short video highlighting the various opportunities Arizona Public Media keeps open for students in order to gain valuable real world experience.

The support of our members and donors like you is crucial to the continued success of Arizona Public Media. Without it, we could not acquire or broadcast our programming, provide unbiased and in-depth news coverage, inspire our community through our rich calendar of free events, offer internships and hands-on training opportunities to students, or maintain any of the vital services we provide to Southern Arizonans.

At AZPM, our mission is clear: to educate, inform, inspire, and connect our community, by bringing people and ideas together. But we cannot do it without your partnership. You give because you believe, as we do, in providing high-quality programming that fills the soul and challenges the mind.

Please contact us today to learn more about giving to AZPM. We are available by phone at 520-621-3808 or by email. We look forward to speaking with you!
