University of Arizona neuroscientist Martha Bhattacharya is researching injuries to brain cells in diseases including epilepsy and Lou Gherig's disease or ALS. She is experimenting with fruit flies and mice to isolate a protein that affects neurons in the brain.
Martha Bhattacharya spoke with Leslie Tolbert, Ph. D. Regent's professor emerita in neuroscience at the University of Arizona.
