Adam Dalgliesh looks into the connection between the grisly exhibits at the Dupayne family museum and the murder of adopted son Neville

The 'Murder Room' of the Dupayne Museum is dedicated to the most gruesome and intriguing murders of the inter-war years. When one of the co-directors of the museum is found trapped in a blazing car, the manner of his demise can be traced back to a death recorded in the Murder Room. Adam Dalgliesh is brought in to investigate, but before he can fathom the killer another death is discovered.

Episode One

When a trustee is found murdered at the Dupayne family museum, the circumstances of the death mimic one of the cases exhibited in the museum's own 'Murder Room'. Commander Adam Dalgliesh of Scotland Yard finds himself investigating a web of secrecy, revenge, family feuds and clandestine sex.

Friday, May 18 at 6 p.m.
Episode Two

Following the brutal murder of Neville Dupayne there are more copycat killings to come for Adam Dalgliesh, whose investigation is complicated by his love for Emma Lavenham. As step-by-step Dalgliesh moves closer to the murderer, will he ever be able to tell Emma how he really feels?
